MCM Pulls Away From MV/P For Victory

After trailing for most of the first three quarters on Tuesday night, the McCook Central/Montrose Girls Basketball team used a big fourth quarter to defeat Mount Vernon/Plankinton 57-44. MV/P held a two point advantage heading into the final frame, but the Fighting Cougars would outscore their opponent 22-7 to pick up the victory. Madisen Koepsell had a big game to lead MCM, she scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds. McCook Central/Montrose is 1-0 and will be back in action on Saturday versus Parker.
