MCM Girls Pick Up Road Victory
After a tight first quarter, the Fighting Cougars of McCook Central/Montrose imposed their will defensively in a 76-29 win at Sioux Valley, in Class A Girls Basketball. MCM led 19-16 after one quarter and 39-24 at halftime. McCook Central/Montrose held the Cossacks scoreless in the third quarter and only five points in the second half to pick up their sixth victory of the season. Jacy Pulse dropped 30 points on the night for MCM, hitting from downtown and attacking the rim – Ashlyn Wobig poured in 19 in the win.Â
Both teams will compete in the 37th annual Hanson Classic that was pushed back from Saturday to Monday.
