Day One Of State Wrestling Tournament

Caleb Hodges, Truman Stoller and Sam Olson all picked up victories in first round action of their respective weight-classes on Thursday at the 2021 SDHSAA State Wrestling Tournament in Rapid City. The trio led the charge for Madison wrestling, who has eight wrestlers in the individual tournament. Howard had four and McCook Central/Montrose three individuals who picked up first round wins. On the team duals side, MCM and Howard both lost in their quarterfinal matches.
