Colman-Egan & Chester Move Onto State

Both Chester Area and Colman-Egan Volleyball teams advanced to the 2020 Class B State Tournament, after picking up wins in the SoDak 16. Chester swept Freeman via sets scores of 25-23, 25-16 and 25-13. Ella Pry, Breckyn Ewoldt and Serena Larson each had eight kills for the Lady Flyers. Kenna Brown chipped in with 32 assists and Jayda Kenyon contributed five aces.

Colman-Egan was victorious over Kadoka Area, 25-16, 25-15 and 25-13. Mckenzie Hemmer had nine kills and seven digs, Olivia Baumberger had 10 kills and six blocks to lead the Hawks. The Class B state tournament will be held at Huron Arena, with quarterfinal action next Thursday. Chester is the three seed and will face the six seed in Faulkton Area. Meanwhile, Colman-Egan is the four seed and will face the five seed in Bridgewater-Emery.
