Chester track and field team competed in Gayville

The Chester track and field team competed Tuesday in Gayville on a very chilly day.  Despite very cool temperatures, wind, and even snow flurries, the Flyers competed at a high level achieving 15 personal records on the day.  

For the Chester girls, in the 200 m dash – Emery Larson finished 3rd.  In the 800m run – Addison Bates placed 3rd. 

Medley relay team of  Karly Campbell, Serena Larson, Emery Larson & Emmerson Eppard finished 3rd, with the  4 x 400 m relay team of  Emmerson Eppard, Karly Campbell, Addison Bates & Emery Larson placing second.

In the field events Addison Bates placed 3rd in the High Jump and Lexi Siemonsma also placed 3rd in the Shot Put.

On the boys side,  Stratton Eppard and Alex VanEgdom finished 2nd and 3rd for Chester in the 200 m dash.  Jovi Wolf had a 3rd place finish in the 400 m dash.   Ryan Benson had a very successful day in the hurdles finishing first in both the 110 and 300 m hurdles.

The 4 x 100 m relay team of  Alex VanEgdom, Ryan Benson, Stratton Eppard & Jovi Wolf took home first place.  With the 4 x 800 m relay with Brayden Schut (Skut), Connor Bates, Carson Eppard & Nathan Gerry finishing 2nd.

In the field events Stratton Eppard placed 3rd in the discus. Jovi Wolf placed 1st and Connor Bates 2nd in the Long Jump and Ryan Benson took 1st in the High Jump.

The Flyers are hosting the Tom Main Invitational Saturday, April 24th with field events beginning at 10:30 am and running events starting at 11:30 am.
