Area Golf Results from Dell Rapids St. Mary Invite

Many area boys and girls golf teams recently competed in the Dell Rapids St. Mary Invitational earlier this week, as Hanson won for the boys and Chester for the girls. 

With their team score of 252, Hanson took the boys first place title at the St. Mary Invite, and was followed by Howard who placed second with a score of 261. Colman-Egan and Chester helped to round out the top five, as Colman-Egan placed fourth with a score of 265 and Chester in fifth scoring 268.

McCook Central/Montrose finished in ninth, scoring 284, while Oldham-Ramona-Rutland placed 13th with their team score of 318.

Hanson had the top two individual boys performances, with AJ Wilber scoring 80 to place first, followed by Ben Wilber’s score of 81 to finish second. 

Will Seeley finished fourth for Chester with his score of 83, with Lane Hodges, Howard,  directly behind as he placed fifth after scoring 84. Braylon Oftedal, ORR, was just outside of the top five as he finished sixth with a score of 85. 

Luke Koepsell finished seventh for Howard after scoring 86.

The Chester girls team finished in first place with their team score of 268. Howard finished third with a score of 299, and MCM rounded out the top five with a fifth place finish, scoring 337.

Individually, Chester’s Ayla McDonald scored 84 to finish in first place. Jadyn McDonald scored 88 to finish fourth, while Berkley Groos placed fifth with her score of 91. 

Trinity Palmquist’s (Howard) score of 93 earned her a sixth place finish.
