S Washington Accident

There was a report of a Car VS Pedestrian accident on S Washington Ave around 3:00PM The Driver of the vehicle was stopped at the stop sign facing east at the intersection of SE 1st and Washington Ave. looking to make a right turn south onto Washington Ave. The driver proceeded to look both ways for traffic but did not see the bicyclist on the sidewalk traveling north.  The bicyclist observed the vehicle stopped and believed that the vehicle would wait for him to cross the street.  The bicyclist did not stop before entering the roadway at about the same time the vehicle began to make its turn. The bicyclist was knocked to the ground.  The bicyclist was checked out by the ambulance but was not transported.
