Chester dominates Class B Relays at Howard Wood

Over Three-Thousand athletes took part in the Howard Wood Dakota Relays this weekend in Sioux Falls. A number of area schools had outstanding performances at the two day event. 

Chester Area took 1st place in three of the Class B Boys Relays, winning the 4×100. 4×200, and 4×400 races. Ryan Benson took 2nd in the boys 110 meter hurdles, and 3rd in the 300 meter hurdles. Jovi Wolf finished 5th in the 200 meter Boys Special Event. The Flier girls added first place finishes in the 4×800 meter relay and the medley relay. 

The Colman-Egan girls took first place in the Class B 4×200 meter relay, and 2nd place in the 4×400. 

The Madison boys finished in 6th place in the Class A 4×100 meter relay. They also added an 8th place finish in the 4×200. Kylie Krusemark finished in the top ten in the girls pole vault. 

A number of Bulldog athletes also took part in the O’Gorman Invite on Friday. Audrey Nelson placed 1st in the girls high jump at the meet. Ellie Keller added a 5th place finish in the 800 meter run.
