Randall Elmer Christiansen was born May 12, 1954 in Sioux Falls, the son of Herbert & Ione (Cantwell) Christiansen. As a young man, he developed a love for almost anything with wheels, an engine and would go fast. Because he loved to go fast, he needed an outlet for his “need for speed” and that outlet was racing. As the years passed, Randy became very good at dirt bike racing and many people took notice. Because of his talented racing, he raced dirt bikes & 3-wheelers for Honda. To stay on top in racing, one needs to care for their machine and a place to practice their racing skills, that is why Randy used to own a mechanic shop & dragstrip in Sioux Falls.

On May 26, 1989, he married Julie Snook and made their home near Chester for many years. Over the years, he worked for John Morrell, a machinist at Eggersteel and then he retired. But not long after, he worked for PPD in Madison and currently was working part-time making deliveries for Building Sprinkler.

When Randy had some time to relax, he loved water sports- mainly riding the jet ski and boating. He loved to go for rides on his Harley-Davidson and taking Julie to the Sturgis bike rally almost every year since they were married.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Julie of Chester; four sons-Todd Christiansen of Chester, Jeremy (Lacey) Jaqua of Harrisburg, Justin Leitheiser of Sioux Falls and Tony (Amanda) Christiansen of Chester; seven grandchildren-Samantha Brinkman, Christopher Christiansen, Kiya Christiansen, Chasity Christiansen, Alzyia Gross, Mila Jacqua, Treyton Christiansen; two brothers-Rick (Debra) Christiansen of Chester and Russ Christiansen of Hartford and many nieces & nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Charlotte Bott.
