Patricia Heumiller

Patricia Heumiller, 88, of Salem passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Dougherty Hospice in Sioux Falls, SD.  Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Salem.  Visitation will begin at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 with a 6:45 rosary and prayer service at Kinzley Funeral Home in Salem.

Patricia McNaboe was born August 18, 1935 in Salem, SD to Pete and Alma (Schulte) McNaboe.  She grew up in Salem and graduated from St. Mary’s High School.  On  October 4, 1955 she married Herbert Heumiller at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Salem.  Pat worked for many years for the city of Salem running the city bar.

Pat was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Society and the Christian Mothers.  She loved holy water, collecting rosaries and her Catholic faith.  She also enjoyed planting flowers, feeding and watching birds, having coffee with friends and spending time with her family.

She is survived by: children, Jerry (Lori) Heumiller of Salem, Lynn Dorale of Mitchell, Doug Heumiller of Spencer, Karen (David) Butler of Kingwood, TX and Brenda (Marvin) Johnson of Salem; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and sister, Diane Bertrand of Sioux City, IA.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her daughter, Diane, her grandson, Bradley and an infant brother, Patrick.
