Gail Roling, 69, of Salem passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.  A celebration of life service will be held at Unite Church in Salem at 11 am on Thursday, May 18, 2023.  Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Wednesday at Kinzley Funeral Home in Salem.

Gail Elaine Anderson was born on August 10, 1953 to Don and Dorothy (Gibson) Anderson.  She grew up in Salem, attending Salem Public Grade and High School.  She later attended Nettleton Business School in Rapid City, SD.  She started her career as a rate clerk at All-American Transport in 1972.  On March 30, 1973 she married the love of her life, Barney Roling, and this union was blessed with three children, Ben, Paul and Kerry.  Gail joined Barney and worked with him on the family farm, raising their children and continuing her career at Puthoff Repair for 20 years.

She enjoyed bowling, her flower garden, Leleeche league, donating her time to the Salem Blood Bank and as a member of Salem Unite Church and the church board.  She so enjoyed her friends and family with her infectious smile and sparkling voice.

She is survived by: her husband, Barney; children, Ben (Jennifer) Roling, Paul (Brandy) Roling and Kerry (Tommy) Pollema; grandchildren, Landon, Lauren and Alyssa Roling, Ava and Hadley Roling and Deacon, Will and Arlo Pollema; sisters, Linda (Greg) DenBleyker and Carolyn (Steve) Posey; brother, Craig (Sue) Anderson; sister-in-law, Vivian (Jack) Sabers and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Diann Fisher.

Memorials will go to Make-a-Wish South Dakota and Montana and McCook Central FFA.
