Thirty-two COVID-19 deaths were reported in the state over the weekend, while the number of active cases and hospitalizations decreased.  

The state’s total number of virus-related deaths now is at 1361.  The overall total number of positive COVID-19 cases is at close to 95-thousand, with an increase of 955  positive cases over the weekend.  The state reported 8270 active cases, and 345 people hospitalized because of the virus. 

Lake County reported six new positive COVID-19 cases since Friday, with nine recovered cases.  The county’s number of active cases decreased to 67, and 42 residents have ever been hospitalized because of the virus. 

Several area counties saw a slight increase in their active COVID-19 cases over the weekend.  Moody County reported 64 active cases, McCook County had 41, and Kingsbury County had 38 active coronavirus cases.  Miner County reported 18 active COVID-19 cases, and Brookings County had 229.
