Walburg files petitions for re-election as Lake County Sheriff

Another Lake County official has submitted nominating petitions for re-election to his position.  Lake County Sheriff Tim Walburg, a Republican, filed his petitions for re-election with the Lake County Auditor’s Office on Monday.  The county Sheriff serves a four-year term.

Other Lake County officials who have submitted petitions for re-election are Shirley Ebsen as the county’s Register of Deeds, and Paula Barrick as the county’s Auditor.  Both Ebsen and Barrick filed as Republicans.

Current Lake County Commissioners Kelli Wollmann and Aaron Johnson also have filed their nominating petitions for re-election.  Wollmann filed as a Republican and Johnson as a Democrat.  Their two seats are the only ones up for election on the county commission this year.

All of the county officials up for election will serve four-year terms if elected.

June primary candidates have until March 29th to file nominating petitions.
