All of the Lake County offices up for election this year now have at least one candidate who has filed nominating petitions.  Debra Walburg filed her nominating petitions for re-election as Lake County’s Treasurer on Thursday. Walburg has filed as a Republican.  

Lake County State’s Attorney Wendy Kloeppner and Coroner Mark Rustand, both Republicans, have also filed petitions for re-election to their offices.  

There are three Republican candidates who have filed nominating petitions so far in the Lake County Commission election this year – Adam Leighton of Rutland, and incumbent commissioners Roger Hageman of Ramona and Deb Reinicke of Madison.  One democrat, John Doblar of Madison, has also filed petitions for the Lake County Commission election. There are three seats up for election on the county commission this year, all to serve four-year terms. The county Treasurer, State’s Attorney, and Coroner all serve four-year terms.  

The deadline to file nominating petitions for the June primary election is March 31st.  

Petitions for the county office elections must be filed with the county Auditor’s Office. Â
