Lake County reported another two positive COVID-19 cases on Tuesday.  The state Department of Health reported that the county’s total for positive cases is now at 198, with 158 of them recovered and seven total deaths.  This puts the number of active COVID-19 cases in Lake County now at 33.

Also on Tuesday, five more COVID-19 deaths were reported in the state.  The overall number of deaths increased to 223.  Tuesday’s deaths were reported in Codington, Lawrence, Clay, and Fall River counties.  

Overall positive COVID-19 cases increased by 259 Tuesday, bringing the state’s overall total to close to 22-thousand.  Of those positive cases, 3684 of them are active at this time and 211 people are currently hospitalized.  

Totals from other area counties include Brookings County currently with 103 active COVID-19 cases.  Moody County now has 31 active cases, McCook County has 20, and Kingsbury County has 12 active COVID-19 cases.  Miner County is reporting five active COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday.
