Tuesday COVID-19 update: Nine new positive & 15 recovered cases in Lake County

The state Department of Health reports 435 new positive COVID-19 cases Tuesday, putting the state’s overall total number of positive cases at just more than 95-thousand-500.  The number of active cases in the state has decreased to 7627, and there are currently 341 people hospitalized because of the virus.  The state did not report any new COVID-19 deaths, so the death toll stands at 1381.

Lake County reports nine new positive COVID-19 cases Tuesday, along with fifteen recovered cases.  The county’s number of active cases decreased to 74 Tuesday.  

Elsewhere in our area, Moody County County reports 52 active COVID-19 cases, Kingsbury County has 41, and McCook County has 40 active cases.  Miner County reports 18 active COVID-19 cases, and Brookings County has 219.
