Tuesday COVID-19 update: Another death reported in Lake County

The state Department of Health reported another COVID-19 death of a Lake County resident Tuesday.  Tuesday’s reported death, which is a woman in her 80’s, brings Lake County’s total number of virus-related deaths to five and the statewide total to 154.

Another new positive COVID-19 case was also reported in Lake County Tuesday, with two more recoveries, putting the number of active cases currently at four.  There have been 980 negative tests in Lake County. 

Statewide, another 83 new positive coronavirus cases were reported Tuesday.  There are currently 1163 active COVID-19 cases and 68 people are currently hospitalized.  

In area counties, Brookings County currently has seventeen active COVID-19 cases and McCook County has nine.  Moody County reports three active cases at this time, and Kingsbury County has one.
