Tuesday COVID-19 update: 17 new positive cases in Lake County; 1011 in the state
As the number of new positive COVID-19 cases increase by more than one-thousand statewide Tuesday, the number of active cases decrease. The overall total number of positive COVID-19 cases is approaching the 75-thousand mark, and the number of active cases is at close to 16-thousand-700. Two additional COVID-19 deaths are also being reported Tuesday, and 574 people are currently hospitalized.Â
Lake County reports another 17 positive COVID-19 cases Tuesday, with 18 recovered cases. The county now has 205 active COVID-19 cases. Â
The number of active cases in area counties also decreased slightly Tuesday. McCook County reports 148 active COVID-19 cases, Kingsbury has 123, and Moody County reports 103 active cases. Miner County currently has 30 active coronavirus cases, and Brookings County has 435.
