State's total positive COVID-19 cases increase to 447

Fifty-four new positive COVID-19 cases have been reported Thursday by the state Department of Health. This brings the state’s total positive cases to date to 447.

The majority of the increase in positive cases is in Minnehaha County, where numbers increased to 274 Thursday. That’s up 46 from Wednesday’s totals.

There are no more new cases in Lake County reported Thursday. Lake County’s total sits at two positive cases currently, but the state reports no community spread in the county.

The number of those who have recovered from the virus increased by 15 Thursday to a total of 161 in the state. There have been 27 hospitalizations total, and six deaths.
