Sportsplex Purchased by City of Madison

Earlier this week at the Madison City Commission meeting the city purchased the First Bank & Trust Sportsplex from the Lake Area Improvement Corporation. City Administrator Jameson Berreth talked about the purchase and the next steps they plan to take with the sportsplex.

The First Bank & Trust SportsPlex, located at 535 N.E. 3rd Street, will house 10 archery lanes, three batting cages for baseball and softball, two turf areas, four pingpong tables, and three golf curtains.

There is no set opening date for the Sportsplex at this time but the city plans on opening the facility to select local sports teams and organizations as a test run before opening to the public.
