It’s election day today (Tuesday).  For those who haven’t voted early or by absentee, polls will be open until 7:00 tonight to cast their ballots.

In Lake County, there are five polling places for the ten precincts in the county.

The three wards within the City of Madison vote at the Dakota Prairie Playhouse today (Tuesday), along with those in Herman, Winfred, Farmington, Leroy, Clarno, Orland, and Lakeview Townships.

Voters in Chester and Franklin Townships, along with the town of Brant Lake vote at the Chester Fire Hall, while those living in Wentworth and Rutland Townships, along with the town of Wentworth, vote at the Wentworth Fire Hall.  The polling place for voters in Nunda and Summit Townships and the town of Nunda is the Nunda Fire Hall, while the polling place for those in Concord, Badus, and Wayne Townships and the town of Ramona is the Ramona Parish Hall.

Lake County Auditor Paula Barrick is anticipating a good voter turnout for this year’s general election, based on the high number of absentee ballots her office has been handling.
