The state Department of Health is reporting another 20 COVID-19 deaths Monday.  Four of those deaths include Brookings County residents.  Overall, the state has a total of 1381 virus-related deaths.  347 new COVID-19 cases are being reported in the state Monday, and the number of active cases is at 8373.  344 people are currently hospitalized in the state because of COVID-19.  

Lake County reports thirteen new positive COVID-19 cases Monday, increasing the county’s active cases now to 80. 

Moody County has 64 active COVID-19 cases, McCook County reports 43, and Kingsbury County has 39 active coronavirus cases as of Monday.  Brookings County reports 232 active cases, and Miner County has 18.  The state has also moved Miner County back to moderate community spread of the virus.  All other area counties have substantial community spread.

The state reports Monday also that more than 75-hundred doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the state, with 152 of them in Lake County.
