One man died Friday night in a one-vehicle crash south of Madison.
A 39-year-old man was driving a 2005 GMC Sierra pickup south on Highway 19 when he lost control on the slippery roadway. The accident happened around ten miles south of Madison at 8:40 Friday night. Authorities say the man, who was the only occupant in the vehicle, was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man’s name is not being released yet.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
