Madison firefighters respond to skid steer fire

Madison firefighters responded to a report of a skid steer on fire north of Madison on Wednesday night.  The call came in just before 10:30 Wednesday night to a residence near the intersection of 227th Street and 459th Avenue.  Madison Fire Chief Randy Minnaert said the skid steer that was on fire was in a barn.  He said that the skid steer was a total loss, but that there was no damage to the building it was in.  Minnaert said firefighters were on scene for around an hour.
