Thursday is a good day for a blizzard in Madison, but not of the weather variety.

It’s Miracle Treat Day at the Madison Dairy Queen tomorrow, just a few months later than previous years.  Madison Dairy Queen Owner DeLon Mork said because of the time of the year and the number of things going on in the community, there won’t be the additional activities held.  But he said that for sure one thing will be the same and that’s that there will be blizzards and coupons for sale.

This is the 16th year of Miracle Treat Day, and even though this year and last have been different for the event, Mork said that the mission of raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network remains the same.

Mork said that Children’s Miracle Network treats the whole family in a child’s medical situation.  He said that his devotion to this event and this charity started with his father, who fought cancer and passed away in 2004.

Mork said his restaurant’s goal for Miracle Treat Day this year is to do the best job that they can do and support this important cause, along with the community.

The Madison Dairy Queen will be open regular business hours – 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. – on Thursday for Miracle Treat Day.
