Madison City Commission meets Monday

The Madison City Commission holds its first meeting in March Monday.

On the agenda for city commissioners is the first reading of a couple of ordinances.  Those ordinances include one repealing and replacing Chapter 6 Building Codes, and the other authorizing the establishment of fees.  Commissioners will also discuss a change order for Halme, Incorporated regarding the city’s water system improvements-water tower loop line.  The commission Monday will also set a bid date for chip sealing for 2022, and review and award the bid for padmount switchgear, transformers, primary cable, and pull boxes.

An executive session for consulting with legal counsel about proposed or pending litigation or contractual matters is scheduled for the end of Monday’s meeting.

The Madison City Commission meeting begins at 5:30 Monday in the commission room in Madison City Hall.  The meeting is also accessible through Zoom.
