Madison Central School Board Approves Two Hires

The Madison Central School Board approved 2 new hires and accepted three resignations at last night’s meeting.

Hayden Hendrick was hired as a Para Professional in the SEC room at a rate of $16 per hour.

Danelle Keninger was also hired as a middle school track coach for this season for $1,718 to replace Lindsey Dietterle.

The resignations of Amanda Klawonn, middle school teacher, and Sarah Jongeling,  high school teacher, were also approved, effective at the end of this school year.  Also approved was the resignation of Madi Jobe as a yearlong substitute effective April 19th.

Also at last night’s meeting Superintendent Joel Jorgenson told the board that the school district will be receiving $152,000 dollars worth of air purifiers for free through the Department of Health and Department of Education.  The free air purifiers and 2-3 years of filters will be arriving later this year.

The board approved Madison High School’s membership of the South Dakota High School Activities Association for 2023-2024. 

The school board will next meet on May 8, 2023.
