The Madison Central School District is reporting its first positive COVID-19 case in several days. Madison Central Superintendent Joel Jorgenson informed parents Sunday that a student or staff member in Madison Elementary School had tested positive for COVID-19. Jorgenson said there were no close contacts for the school with this case.
This latest case brings the total number of positive COVID-19 cases within the district to 64 since September.
According to the district’s weekly report on active and recovered cases last Wednesday, there were three active student and one active staff cases at that time.
