If there has ever been a year when charitable need was at its highest, 2020 surely rises to the top.  GivingTuesday takes place tomorrow – the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.  It’s a promotion that was started in 2012 and evolved into a “global generosity movement”.

Locally, KJAM Radio is doing its part to help raise awareness for a few local non-profit organizations.  On GivingTuesday tomorrow, KJAM will spotlight the Lake County Food Pantry, the Backpack Program, the Domestic Violence Network, and Lake County’s Veterans Honor Park.  We will also talk more about the Interlakes Community Action Partnership (or ICAP)’s Emergency Food and Shelter Services, the Prairie Historical Society, and Madison Lions Club.

Danny Frisby-Griffin, Chair of the Veterans Honor Park committee, talks more about that project.

Frisby-Griffin says that reaching the goal for the Veterans Honor Park takes time and money.

You will hear more from Frisby-Griffin about Lake County’s Veterans Honor Park and how you can donate to the project in a full interview tomorrow on KJAM Radio, along with the other six non-profit organizations and agencies we will be highlighting as part of GivingTuesday.

Information on how to donate to these organizations can be found also on our website at amazingmadison.com.
