Lindsay looking forward to being back in Madison Mayor’s office

When Roy Lindsay takes office as Madison’s Mayor next month, it will be a familiar title and role for him.  Lindsay served as Mayor for six years before being narrowly defeated by Marshall Dennert when seeking re-election in 2019.  Voters in the City of Madison elected Lindsay back as Mayor on Tuesday by a vote of 803 to 400 over Dennert.

Lindsay said that he appreciates the voters’ confidence in him.

Lindsay said that there are a lot of projects Madison has going on and other areas that he looks forward to working on as Mayor.

Lindsay said that he will be visiting with the city’s department heads and working to catch himself up on what has changed since he left office three years ago.

Lindsay will take office as Madison’s Mayor and start serving his three-year term at the Madison City Commission’s first meeting in May. Â
