Lewis & Clark Regional Water System receiving record amount of funding

The Lewis & Clark Regional Water System is receiving a record amount of funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill.  Executive Director Troy Larson said that Bureau of Reclamation officials notified them Thursday that Lewis & Clark will be receiving more than 75-million dollars in Fiscal Year 22.

Larson said that the additional funding will help a great deal in getting more work done on getting water through the system to Madison.

Larson gave an estimate on when Madison can expect to be receiving water through the Lewis & Clark Regional Water System.

Water is currently being delivered to fifteen of the twenty members of the Lewis & Clark Regional Water System.  Besides Madison, the other communities yet to receive water through the system are Hull, Sioux Center, Sheldon, and Sibley, Iowa. Â
