Last Day to file Lake County Election Pettitions

Aaron Francis McGowan has filed his petition for Lake County State’s Attorney.  He will be running against incumbent Wendy Kloeppner (Klep-ner) . Both have filed as republicans

Candidates that are running for County Commission are Charlie Johnson who is the first democrat to file for one of the three open seats on the commission. Four republicans have so far filled, including Ryan Gebauer, and current commissioners Dennis Slaughter, Adam Leighton and Deb Reinicke.

The deadline for filing nominating petitions for the primary election is today, March 26th, at 5:00 p.m.
