The state Department of Health is reporting four additional new positive COVID-19 cases in Lake County as of Wednesday.  With those, the county’s total is now at 41, with nineteen of the cases currently active.  21 Lake County residents have recovered and one person has died from the virus.  The state is reporting 741 negative tests in Lake County.

The state reports two more COVID-19 deaths in the state Wednesday in residents of Butte and Pennington counties.  This brings the total number of deaths from the virus in the state to 111.  

Overall, 80 new positive COVID-19 cases were reported statewide Wednesday, putting the state’s total now at 7652.  Of those, 878 cases are considered active and 59 people are currently hospitalized.  

The state reports a few increases in new positive cases in some area counties as of Wednesday. 

Brookings County currently has sixteen active cases, and Moody and McCook counties each have four.  Kingsbury County has two active COVID-19 cases at this time, and Miner County has one.
