Lake County Commission approves new hires in Sheriff’s Office

The Lake County Commission took action on a number of personnel items during its regular meeting on Tuesday.

Commissioners approved the hiring of a new Deputy Sheriff.  Adam Aus will start as a full-time Deputy Sheriff with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office on May 5th at a rate of $21.81 an hour.  Also within the Sheriff’s Office, the commission approved the hiring of two full-time Correctional Officers.  Commissioners approved Justin Tuckerman at a rate of $19.50 an hour, effective April 18th, and Thomas Seppala at a rate of $17.35 per hour, effective April 25th.

In other personnel action, county commissioners approved the resignation of Rich Wise as a Heavy Equipment Operator with the county Highway Department, and authorized Commission Administrative Officer Shelli Gust to advertise for the position.  They also approved the start date for Michael O’Connell, who is a seasonal employee for the Highway Department.  O’Connell will start on June 6th at a rate of $19.23 an hour.
