Lake County Commission approves budget supplements for auction proceeds

Lake County held a surplus property auction sale in June.  Through that auction, Lake County Auditor Paula Barrick told county commissioners Tuesday that the county received close to 60-thousand dollars.  She said that with expenses of just more than eight-thousand dollars, the net amount received is close to 52-thousand dollars.  Barrick said that total will be split accordingly between the departments who sold items in the auction.  She said that the Highway Department will receive just more than 42-thousand dollars, the Sheriff’s Office close to 58-hundred dollars, and the Buildings and Grounds Department receives close to 23-hundred dollars.  More than 13-hundred dollars from the auction funds will then be put into the county’s general fund.  Commissioners on Tuesday voted to have Barrick supplement the money into the different departments’ budgets.
