Friday is deadline for City and School Board petitions

Today (Friday) is the deadline for nominating petitions to be filed for this year’s Madison City Commission and Madison Central School Board election.

So far, two petitions have been filed for the two seats open on the Madison City Commission.  Both incumbents – Adam Shaw and Jerae Wire – filed their petitions with the City Finance Office.

Only one petition has been filed so far for the Madison Central School Board.  Incumbent board member Rob Honomichl turned in his petition for re-election, but there is still one seat available on the board this year.  Petitions for school board need to be filed with the Madison Central Business Office.

Madison City Commissioners and Madison Central School Board members all serve three-year terms.

If needed, a joint city and school board election will be held on April 11th.
