The number of positive COVID-19 cases increased by three Friday in Lake County, while the number of recovered cases increased by seven.  With 209 total positive cases, 173 of them recovered, and seven deaths in the county, that puts the number of active COVID-19 cases currently at 29.  

Statewide, 386 new positive COVID-19 cases have been reported Friday by the state Department of Health, along with one new virus-related death.  The total number of positive cases in the state is now at 23-thousand-522, with nearly four-thousand of them active at this time.  The state reports 220 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19.  

Elsewhere in our area Friday, Brookings County reports 106 active COVID-19 cases, McCook County has 35, and Moody County has 26.  There are currently fourteen active coronavirus cases in Kingsbury County, and seven in Miner County.
