The Norm Johnson Educator Enhancement Grant is for professional development opportunities for educators.

Four Madison Elementary teachers are receiving a grant award to help them attend professional development opportunities.  Lindsey Dietterle and Tammy Palli will attend the Practical Strategies to Enhance STEM learning conference, and Michelle Hojer and Kristin Morse are attending the Get Your Teach On, Houston conference.

Madison Middle School teachers Jennifer Flemming and Valorie Wilkens, as well as the school’s ESL teachers, received a Norm Johnson Educator grant to host a professional to help with Reading & Writing Connections; and Erin Riedel will attend the Dakota TESOL Closer Connections Conference.

The Madison Central School Educational Foundation also awarded two Performing and Fine Arts grants.  Nicole Decker received funds to help her purchase Jazz band music for her Middle School Band, and Dawn Wiebers purchased containers to organize make-up for the high school play.  The Performing & Fine Arts Grant funds are enhanced by selling the sponsorship of the Madison High School Auditorium chairs.
