DSU’s TriBeta to host Careers in Science Speakers Series

Dakota State University’s TriBeta Biology Honor Society is hosting a DSU Careers in Science Speaker Series on Monday.  DSU alumnus Dr. Chad Kurtenbach, a 2002 graduate and orthopedic surgeon, will be on campus to talk about his career.  He received his medical degree from the University of Minneapolis, completed his orthopedic residency at Orlando Health in Orlando, Florida, and completed an orthopedic surgery sports medicine fellowship at TRIA Orthopedic Center in Minneapolis.  Kurtenbach received the DSU Distinguished Alumni Award in 2014, and is the head team physician for South Dakota State University.

Kurtenbach is scheduled to speak in the Science Center Auditorium on the DSU campus starting at 7:00 Monday evening.  The event is open to the public.  

This is  part of a new speaker series sponsored by the TriBeta Honor Society. Each semester they will host a DSU alum who works in science to give talks about their career paths.
