DSU Names Student Employees of the Year

Each year, the Dakota State University Career and Professional Development office names Student Employees of the Year, both on- and off-campus. These awards are held in conjunction with the Midwest Association of Student Employment Administrators. Nominations are solicited from on-campus and off-campus employers of DSU students, and a committee selects students in each category.

The 2022-2023 On-Campus Student Employee of the Year is Kathleen Ballinger, a Mathematics Education major in DSU’s Tutoring Center.

Two Off-Campus Student Employees of the Year were also named. They are Britni Plucker and Jennifer Preuss.

Britni Plucker is a Business major from Canton, S.D. who works for Dakota Cinema in Madison.

Jennifer Preuss works at the Community Counseling Center in Madison, and is a Health Informatics and Information Management major from Adrian, Minn.

All DSU student employees were honored at a Student Employee Recognition Event on April 12 and noted at a university-wide Honors Reception on April 18.
