City approves temporary malt beverage license for DownTown in MadTown

The Madison City Commission has approved the temporary retail (on-off sale) malt beverage license for the DownTown in MadTown event this summer.  Commissioners on Monday held a hearing on and approved the application for the temporary license for the event, put on by the Greater Madison Area Chamber of Commerce and the Lake Area Improvement Corporation.

Chamber Executive Director Eric Hortness said that they are planning to run the event similar to what they have done in the past.

DownTown in MadTown will be held in downtown Madison on Tuesdays for six weeks, starting on July 20th.  Each week of DownTown in MadTown will start at 6:00 p.m. and go until 9:00 p.m. and will feature a band, food vendors, shopping options, and kids’ activities.
