The Madison City Commission has approved a proposal for compliance testing at the city’s electrical generation plant.

During their meeting Monday, commissioners approved a proposal from Compliance Services, Incorporated of Edgewood, Iowa to perform the stack testing services for the city of Madison’s plant.  Utility Director Brad Lawrence told commissioners that the proposal includes doing the compliance testing for the city of Madison and the city of Fort Pierre.

Lawrence said he received two proposals for the services, with Compliance Services being the lowest of the two.  He said that the cost is $8125 for Madison’s generation plant stack testing, and Fort Pierre’s cost will be $5175.
