Citations issued in injury accident Friday
Two people received minor injuries in an accident late Friday afternoon in Madison. Madison Police report that just after 4:45 Friday afternoon, a 17-year-old Madison girl was stopped at a stop sign facing north on Lincoln Avenue, and then proceeded into the intersection, failing to yield to a vehicle traveling east on Northeast 2nd Street.
The driver of the second vehicle, 33-year-old Danielle Perriman of Madison, was arrested on charges of DUI and Open Container. A citation is pending against the 17-year-old for failing to yield.
Police report the juvenile’s vehicle, a 1999 Buick Century, received an estimated five-thousand dollars in damage. Perriman’s 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee received an estimated ten-thousand dollars in damage in the accident.
