Dakota State Softball opened up their season with a pair of tight losses at the Presentation Dome Tournament. Their first game was a 5-3 loss to Dordt and game two a 6-3 defeat to Dakota Wesleyan. In the match-up with Dordt, it was scoreless through the first four innings before the Defenders broke through. Melissa Krapf, Julia Anderson and Xitlali Lopez each drove in a run. 

Dakota Wesleyan scored all six of their runs in the bottom of the first, on their way to victory. Nicole Stewart collected  two hits and drove in two, Faith Danner picked up two hits and went the distance on the mound. DSU Softball back in action today, taking on Morningside and the University of Jamestown. 

 

Trojan Baseball is back in action today with a doubleheader at Southwestern College in Kansas. It is the second weekend of play for DSU baseball in the Sunflower State, as they look for their first win of the season. They will wrap up the weekend with a single game tomorrow.
