Dakota State Softball wrapped up the two-weekend Presentation Dome Tournament on Saturday, dropping a pair of games to Valley City State and University of Jamestown. Against the Vikings, DSU jumped out to a 3-0 advantage in the first inning and held a 6-3 lead going into the bottom of the fifth inning. VCSU would rally for 6 unanswered runs to go up 9-6 heading into the final frame. Nicole Stewart hit a two-run home run to pull DSU within one, but that was all the Lady T’s could muster, falling 9-8.

Game two was a bit more lopsided, as Jamestown pounded out 18 hits and won 15-4 in five innings. Dakota State Softball is still in search of their first victory on the season. They will have the next few weeks off before heading to Arizona on March 9th for eight games over five days.
