A Girls SoDak 16

The McCook Central/Montrose Girls Basketball team finds themselves once again in the SoDak 16, as they will face off against Aberdeen Roncalli this evening in Huron. Roncalli, who has a record of 18-3, was the number one seed from Region One. They defeated Webster Area, 58-20, last Thursday and are the number eight seed in the SoDak 16. MCM, the one seed from Region Five, defeated Madison 77-68 to advance to tonight’s game. They are the nine seed.

Should be a tight contest, both teams have similar resumes. Tip-off tonight is slated for 6pm from the Huron Arena. Action can be heard on FM103 and amazingmadison.com. Winner advances to next weekend’s Class A Girls State Tournament in Rapid City.

Flandreau and West Central will also meet in the SoDak 16 tonight. The Flyers are the seven seed and the Trojans are the ten seed. Despite their relative closeness in the area, they did not see each other during the regular season. Game is being held at the Madison Central High School Gymnasium, with a 7:30pm start expected.
