Madison City Commission meeting Monday

The Madison City Commission holds its regular weekly meeting Monday.

On the city commission’s agenda is a change order for KLJ and National Sealant and Concrete LLC for work to rehabilitate and remark the airport runway and turnarounds. The commission will also discuss a certificate of substantial completion for the water main improvement project on Division Avenue.

Commissioners Monday will authorize the purchase of playground equipment and poured in place rubber surfacing , and adopt a resolution amending the established employee compensation for 2020. The commission is also slated to consider two extension requests for a 2016 sidewalk improvement project, and review and award the bid for the 750-thousand gallon water tower as part of the city’s water system improvement project. Commissioners also have an update on COVID-19 on their agenda.

An executive session is scheduled for the end of Monday’s meeting and a discussion on the city’s 2021 budget will follow that.

The Madison City Commission meeting begins at 5:30 Monday. Commissioners will meet in the commission room and virtually using the GoToMeeting application.
