Savayah Jean Pettengill

Savayah Jean Pettengill, infant daughter of Jacob and Lisa (Peterson) Pettengill, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls.  Visitation with family present will be from 3-5 pm on Sunday, March 8, at Central Church in Sioux Falls.  The funeral service will begin at 10:30 am on Monday, March 9 also at Central Church.  Burial will take place at 2 pm Monday at Sun Prairie Baptist Church, rural Salem.

Savayah was born on December 11, 2019 in Sioux Falls.  She had many physical challenges in her short life as a result of Trisomy 13 but defied many expectations in her short life.  She was a blessing to her family and an inspiration to all who knew of her story.

Savayah is survived by: her parents, Jacob and Lisa of Sioux Falls; her siblings, Sadie, Sawyer and Silas of Sioux Falls; grandparents, Mark and Laurie Pettengill of Murrieta, CA and Norman and Mary Rae Peterson of Salem, SD; great-grandparents, Margaret Pettengill of Roseville, CA and Evelyn Peterson of Sioux Falls; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
