Tuesday COVID-19 update: Active cases decrease in Lake County and state
The number of active COVID-19 cases in the state decreased on Tuesday, according to the state Department of Health. Information updated by the Department reported 4232 active COVID-19 cases, and 200 people currently hospitalized. No new deaths were reported Tuesday, keeping the state’s total number of virus-related deaths at 1667. The state reported 127 new positive COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, as the state’s overall total number of positive cases approached the 106-thousand mark. Â
The state reported a decrease in active cases in area counties as well. Lake County on Tuesday had one new positive COVID-19 case, with eight recovered cases, bringing the county’s total number of active cases to 52. Â
Moody County reported 35 active cases Tuesday, Kingsbury County-28, and Miner County had 26 active COVID-19 cases at this time. McCook County reported 18 active cases, and Brookings County had 231.Â
