The state Department of Health is reporting another positive COVID-19 case in Lake County in its daily report Friday, putting the county’s total number of cases at fourteen.  Ten of those cases are reported as recovered and there has been one death.  Lake County has had 474 negative tests.

Overall Friday, the state reports 77 additional positive COVID-19 cases for a total of 5742.  Of those, there are 913 active cases in the state, and one more person has died from the virus.  Friday’s new death reported is a resident of Minnehaha County, where 53 people have now died from COVID-19.  87 people are currently hospitalized because of COVID-19.  

Other area counties that saw increases in positive cases Friday include McCook and Moody counties, who each had one additional positive case reported.  Moody County now has three active cases, along with Kingsbury County.  McCook County has two active cases currently and Miner County has one.  Brookings County reports six active COVID-19 cases at this time.
